Singoallas background
Singoalla's backgrund - written by Catarina Tandefeldt, Kennel Hayawani
In the years 1989 and 1991 our kennel (Hayawani) imported a bitch and a dog from England, SCH NCH Celestial Lady of Janak (Nambi) and NORDCH Mwenga Kintu Mwingereza (Kintu). They proved to have the most excellent mentality and health and from these two we had our first litter in 1993. Their six puppies all had the same soundness in health and mentality as their parents. (They lived a good life till the age of 12) Unfortunately Nambi had only this litter so after three years of waiting and trying we decided to import another bitch from England from the same bloodlines as Nambi and Kintu. We were so familiar with these bloodlines and also knew some of the dogs personally so we felt we couldn´t make a better choice.
The bloodlines were some very old African (Ghallenger´s Chipo, Rip of Colemore), and also Ulundi, Shangara, Mushana and Maxwood, some old British (Kinza) and quite a lot of Janak.
So in 1997 Saragwe Nozipo came to live with us. Very much the same bloodlines as above with some addition of Jespah Alekzandr of Janak, Trendsetter Mtoko and our Kintu´s sister Mwenga Marijka. Nozipo came from a litter of 12 puppies, one sinus but no other defects.
Nozipo – that´s “Moppan” on our website, or “Zipo” as she is called in England, was the lovliest puppy we had ever seen, very elegant, well built with the sweetest temperament. She never liked showing much but if she had I´m sure she could easily have won all the titles she needed. But she is a typical housewife and as such has taken very good care of her children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren! I write all this about Singoalla´s grandmother because the bitchline behind Singoalla is a very good one and this is the origin!
To Moppan´s first litter we chose Amukela Mambana Anzu, “Zappa” from kennel Masithela, brother of Ami Sariba. He completed her perfectly. 12 puppies were born, very even in size and colour, one ridgeless puppy, one with extra crowns and one puppy with only one crown. Nothing else. From this litter, Moyo-litter, there are three champions, one of them is Singoalla´s mother Roza (Zerafina Moyo).
Zappa was killed by a car at the age of four so this is his only litter.
Roza is the best RR-bitch I can imagine, strong, proud, balanced and very lovely. She is a little on the big side but perfectly built and a terrific mover. Her mentality test and MH are excellent. Her show career has been a little uneven because of her size but she gained her championtitles at the age of 6 after having had two litters and that is a real proof of quality!
In the Moyolitter 8 puppies are X-rayed, all have elbows 0/0 and hips A except one bitch who has C.
They are mentality tested unofficially with the Barbro Börjesson test and later officially with MH.
Four from the Moyo-litter have progeny, Zazazela (Ozzy), Zamburo (Penti), Zindzi (Nefer) and Zerafina (Roza).
Because of her size we have chosen “small” men for Roza, and to her second litter I found Nambala Qam in Holland.
A couple of years earlier we were about to import a stud dog from Nambala Kennels in New Zeeland, we had learned everything about the Nambala dogs and their bloodlines and we liked very much what we had found. In the end we didn´t go through with the import because of the very long flight the puppy had to make. So imagine my joy when I found a Nambala dog in Europe – closely related to the puppy we didn´t get! Qam is my absolute favourite stud dog, maybe not the most handsome of dogs, but with so much personality and charm, very easygoing and with that little extra you rarely find in a dog. He is very well built with an excellent front.
Roza´s litter with Qam was very mixed: 3 livernoses, 2 very dark red wheaten and 3 wheaten. Two sinuses (both were operated at 6 months and are now perfectly healthy), no other defects. Very nice temperaments – rather strongminded dogs, friendly and powerful. They are also mentality tested unofficially with the Barbro Börjessontest and later MH-tested officially.
All except one are X-rayed, all have elbows 0/0, hips A except one boy who has A/D.
No sicknesses, allergies, sensitive stomachs, missing teeth or other kinds of problems have occurred in the litter.
